Vineyard Notes: Our Adelaide Hills vineyards grow elegant, complex Chardonnays with clarity of fruit and regional expression.

Vintage Conditions:
The season began very dry, with a warm spring promoting strong canopy growth, and a moderate November ensuring good fruit set. Timely January rains refreshed the vines and allowed for good yields without impacting quality. A very mild February with cold nights slowed ripening, and warm March days with cool nights helped concentrate bright, elegant flavours while retaining long, fine acidity.
Winemaker Notes: Select parcels of fruit were hand picked and whole-bunch pressed before fermentation in small batches using a combination of wild and cultured yeast and natural malo-lactic fermentation. The wine was left to mature on lees for nine months in 80% seasoned and 20% new French oak barrels. Regular barrel stirring helped build texture and complexity.
Food Pairing: Gold Label Chardonnay is great with roast chicken with pancetta and thyme stuffing, or pork fillet with grilled nectarines.

Peak Drinking:
Enjoyable on release, or careful cellaring in the short to medium term will reward drinkers seeking increased complexity.
