Wine Profile
Vintage: 2016
Wine Type: Red Wine
Varietal: Shiraz
Acid: 6.5 g/L
PH: 3.58
Alcohol %: 13.5%
Tasting Notes: COLOUR: Deep crimson with purple hues.
NOSE: Aromatic red and blue fruits with subtle notes of cedar spice.
PALATE: Medium bodied, with generous berry fruits and subtle creamy oak to support, finishing with fine, velvety tannins.
Ratings: 91 points | James Suckling 2017
Awards: Gold Medal: 2017 Perth Royal Wine Show (Class 25)
Silver Medal: 2017 Royal Adelaide Wine Show (Class 31)
Vineyard Notes: The 2016 growing season was very dry, with significantly lower than average rainfall. A warm October advanced the season, resulting in early flowering, veraison and ultimately harvest. Despite this, mild February and March temperatures ensured length of ripening was normal, with adequate time for fruit to develop.
Winemaker Notes: 15% was matured with French and American oak, adding texture and complexity to produce a balanced, integrated wine.
Food Pairing: Yellow Label Shiraz is great with rare roast beef and horseradish sandwiches, or grilled lamb cutlets with sweet potato chips.

Peak Drinking:
Best enjoyed in its youth, or will gain further complexity with careful short term cellaring.
